Although it seems obvious there’s a simple reason why we aren’t Amazon.
We are a small family business who operate from our small shop and showroom in a country market town. While this means that we manage to get unique pieces, provide excellent customer support and you know all your money is going to help us sustain our high standards it also means there are certain setbacks.
We aim to ship out everything within 5 working days. We don’t believe dropshipping is the way forward, we like to have an item in hand and check it’s condition before dispatching and rely on our trusted couriers to get all lighting there in one piece by the day after dispatch. This means unlike Amazon ( well the old Prime shipping anyway, it seems the new shipping can be up to 7 days ) we can’t offer delivery of an order in 24hrs except in unusual circumstances especially items ordered at weekends.
We can’t always match prices on the larger suppliers. We are simply unable to bulk buy things like large Chandelier fittings and store them on pallets in a giant warehouse but we can offer excellent support , show alternative and unique items that aren’t mass produced and get some amazing bargains on sample pieces and clearance ranges.
All in all we hope that people continue to support small businesses and help us help you. Let us know what we can do better , message us before you leave a negative review for something out of our control like a courier ( it sucks when we arrive home to put out little one to bed and see a 2* review on our company because DPD hasn’t arrived in the allotted time slot ) or please leave a positive review if you think we did great (yes we do the happy dance and pass the phone to each other to read it, it really makes our night )
